The Inquiry into the two Highsted Park planning applications starts soon on the 11th March. These applications will have a massive impact on Bredgar and all the local rural villages.

The communication this week delaying a decision about a runway at Gatwick airport shows that even where the government is minded to approve a planning application, they must take into account the Planning Inspector's recommendations. Whatever the final decision of the Highsted Park planning applications it is essential that all the problems and issues with them are fully covered at the Inquiry.

Five Parishes Group will be present at the Inquiry to ensure that our community concerns are considered in detail and to influence the Planning Inspector's final report.

There has been a tremendous response with fund raising efforts to provide the funding needed for the legal representation and expert witnesses. A significant amount has been raised (see GoFundMe here) but more is required!

Please continue to support Five Parishes Group with donations and put up Stop Highsted signs to show your support.
